What customers judge in the first thirty seconds.
Turn enquiry calls into booked, profitable work.
Ask better questions and find the real problem.
Justify the job without sounding too salesy.
Talk about cost with confidence, not apology.
Turn an unhappy customer into a loyal one.
Make the moment they collect the car count.
Systematically earn feedback, referrals and return visits.
They do not know whether the diagnosis was clever or the repair was done properly. What they can judge is whether the phone was answered well, whether someone explained what was wrong in language they understood, whether the price was what they were told it would be, and whether the car came back clean. That is the experience they tell other people about, and it is the reason they come back or quietly go somewhere else.
This one-day course covers the whole customer journey through an independent garage, from the first phone call to the follow-up after the job. You will work on how your team handles enquiries and converts them, how to ask the questions that uncover what the customer actually needs, how to explain and justify work without discounting your way out of the conversation, and how to handle a complaint so it strengthens the relationship rather than ending it. It also covers the practical end: setting a standard your front of house can follow, and building the habits that generate reviews and repeat work consistently rather than by luck.
Andy Savva built his own garage business on this, and is clear that customer service, not technical ability, was the thing that made it succeed. The day is designed entirely around the independent garage and you leave with things you can put in place immediately. Get it right and the price conversation gets easier, because customers stop comparing you to the garage down the road and start comparing you to nobody.
“I always feel like I have a renewed energy and passion after spending time with you.”
